The Town of Beacon Falls Emergency Management and Public Safety Officials are currently seeking town residents to join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). CERT is a training program that prepares you to help yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a disaster. As a member of the CERT Team, you can respond to disasters, participate in drills and exercises, and take additional training.
CERT Teams are known and trusted resources to emergency responders and their communities. At no cost, residents can receive training in basic medical aid, fire safety, light search and rescue, and sheltering. The program is open to anyone age 18 and older. Classes will start Wednesday April 25th, 2018 from 6pm-9pm at the Prospect Fire Department, 26 New Haven Road, Prospect, CT., and will run each Wednesday consecutively for 6 weeks.
