Recycling Information

Beacon Falls First Selectman, Gerald Smith. September, 2012:

"For the past year, Beacon Falls has been part of “single stream recycling.” I encourage every household to purchase a large trash receptacle, label it “Recycling” and place ALL numbered plastic (not just 1&2), paper and cardboard, broken down into manageable pieces, in this separate container. The town pays for all items placed in your trash container by the ton, but we are reimbursed for the recyclables. If every household separates trash and recycling, reducing the one and increasing the other, it will result in substantial savings."
