Like most of you I have a family of my own.  I worry everyday about their well-being just like you do.  All this uncertainty has made this a very anxious time for all of us and it’s understandable that questions and concerns will continue to arise.  Rest assured, we will do all we can to protect you and your family so that we can do our small part to help service and protect our communities.   
At Oak Ridge Waste & Recycling, our highest priority has always been the safety of our employees, customers and communities.  As a solid waste and recycling Company we now find ourselves in a very unique situation.  Our Team provides an essential service to our communities - not collecting and removing the waste that will be accumulating would create another health crisis at the worst possible time.  With the recent school closings and many businesses instructing employees to work from home, we can all expect to see an increase in residential trash.  While many businesses may be slowing or closing during this time and we will do all we can to accommodate them, trash will be accumulating throughout our residential communities, so we will be doing our very best to continue doing what we do each and every day.  In addition to our homes please keep in mind our team also provides essential collection services for Hospitals, Medical Facilities, Grocery Stores, Police & Fire Departments so we intend to continue to roll our trucks on the roads every day we can.

So we are working hard to stay informed and do everything possible to protect our staff while continuing to provide service and keep our facilities running.   
• Our teams have worked hard to uniquely position ourselves to do our very best to continue to provide essential disposal services.  As this crisis continues to evolve we will likely need to be very nimble.  We will need to be constantly adjusting pick up days, service times and even services offered to cover those most necessary to the communities in which we operate in.  We graciously thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we all work our way through these challenging times.  • For our employees Safety we have implemented a flexible work from home environment for our staff members in customer care, administration, and other critical back-office functions. We have employed hospital grade cleaning services to do our part to prevent any further spread of the virus that has impacted all of our lives and our employees have been trained to adhere to CDC health guidelines.  
The health and safety of our community is a responsibility we all need to take seriously and we will do our very best to provide the essential services you have come to count on us for.  We are continuing to follow information and recommendations made by the CDC and adjust contingency plans as this fluid situation continues to change.
