LEGAL NOTICE

TOWN OF BEACON FALLS

NOTICE OF SPECIAL TOWN MEETING

 

 All electors and citizens eligible to vote in town meetings of the Town of Beacon Falls, Connecticut (the “Town”) are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting of the Town is to be held at the Beacon Falls Senior Center, located at 57 N. Main Street, in Beacon Falls, Connecticut on April 21, 2022, at 7:00 p.m., for the following purposes:

 

  1.  To act on the following MOU:
    1. To consider and vote on the following resolution:
      • RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF QUALIFIED DATA CENTER HOST MUNICIPALITY FEE AGREEMENT MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING
  2. Budget transfers and additional appropriations for the 2021-2022 Fiscal Year
    1. Sludge Processing Transfers:
      1. $2,000 from 10.90.67.1470 Vehicle Fuel
      2. $10,000 from 10.90.67.1765 Equipment Replacement
      3. $5,000 from 10.90.67.1780 Sewer Maintenance
      4. $4,000 from 10.90.67.1760 Plant Operations
      5. $26,737 from 10.90.67.1776 Nitrogen Credits; and
      6. up to $47,263 from the SWWT Fund 60
        1. For a total of up to $95,000 to be transferred into General Fund line 10.90.67.1770 Sludge Processing
    2. Ambulance Lease Payoff:  Appropriation of up to $129,000 from “Undesignated Fund Balance” to 45.90.44.1001, “Ambulance 5 Year Lease”
    3. Bonded Projects Deficit:  Transfer $24,699 from the Debt Service Fund 14.90.53.1000 to the Bonded Projects Fund."

The full text of the foregoing authorizing resolution, including the memorandum of understanding, is on file and open to inspection at the office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, 10 Maple Avenue, Beacon Falls, Connecticut for the use or inspection of any interested person.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that on the 14th day of April 2022, I posted a written copy of the attached warning and notice of the Special Town Meeting upon the signposts of the Town of Beacon Falls.

I FURTHER CERTIFY that on the 14th day of April 2022, I caused the attached warning and notice of a Special Town Meeting of the Town of Beacon Falls to be filed with Leonard Greene its Town Clerk.

I FURTHER CERTIFY that on the 14th day of April 2022, I caused a copy of said warning and notice to be published in the Waterbury Republican American having circulation within the Town of Beacon Falls.

I FURTHER CERTIFY that all the above acts were done by me at least five days before the holding of said meeting on Thursday, April 21, 2022.
