150th Anniversary Drone Show

he Beacon Falls 150th Anniversary Committee, Beacon Falls Historical Society, Beacon Falls Park & Recreation Commission, and with the generosity of Lee and Olga Nemeth who own Kolga LLC, announce a 150th Anniversary Event to be held on September 25th, 2021 – A Night of Lights!

The lighted drones will launch at 7:30PM on the 25th with the drones taking off from the Pent Road Recreation Facility.  The Pent Road Facility will be CLOSED to all parking and visitors due to FAA restrictions. Please, no one can be in the park during the live show.

The music track that that is synchronized with the drone show is intended to be broadcast on JROD Radio, 87.9 FM.  This is still being coordinated, stay tuned.

Parking and viewing the Drone Show will be from several locations.

The parking lot at Kolga, 65 Lancaster Drive, will be open for all to park.The parking lot will open at 6:00PM. The Beacon Falls Lions will be assisting with parking cars.Please follow their directions as all locations in the parking lot, both sides of the building , will be viewing areas.Please note that cars parked closest to Pent Road may have limited viewing.

WE WILL BE OBSERVING SOCIAL DISTANCING AS BEST AS CAN BE PROVIDED.

Parking on Lancaster Drive itself.Cars may park on Lancaster Drive from the cul-de-sac at the Pond Spring Rear Gate going out towards RT 42.Limited Viewing from the farther areas of Lancaster Drive (near DiGoirgi Roofing) and it is suggested to walk up closer to Kolga.

Offsite Viewing:

Any area that has been used to watch the Family Day Fireworks, should also be a place to watch the Drone Show.The end of North Main Street, Church Street, Wolfe Ave where there is a westward view.

It may be possible to watch the show from any area on Rimmon Hill Road where you would watch the fireworks.

Note: The Lions Club will have for sale: soda, water and an Ice Cream Truck in the Kolga Parking Lot.

Note: the Annual Lions Club Car Show will be held on Sunday September 26th in the same Kolga Parking Lot.  Please come and support your local Lions.
