Get ready for the Beacon Hose Carnival and Parade!

Beacon Falls is gearing up for the Beacon Hose Carnival this weekend. For information on the events, please visit: Beacon Hose Carnival. With the Carnival comes Saturday's Parade, so be prepared for some traffic interruptions Saturday evening:
The following road closures and detours will be in effect during the Beacon Hose Parade on Saturday, July 1 from approximately 5-5:30 p.m.
- Route 8 South, Exit 24: off-ramp closed (on-ramp will be open)
- Route 8 North, Exit 23: no right turn onto South Main Street (left turn only)
- Depot Street bridge: closed
- South Main Street at Fairfield Place: no left turn onto South Main Street (left on Feldspar only)
- South Main Street at Bethany Road: closed
- Bethany Road at Feldspar Avenue: closed (all traffic on Route 42 West must turn onto Feldspar)
- Bethany Road at Avenue E: closed
- Bethany Road at Avenue C: no right turn onto Bethany Road (left turn only)
Recommended detours for those planning to travel through Beacon Falls during this time are encouraged to use Skokorat Road (to/from Seymour) or Burton Road to Church Street (to Route 8 North).
