Town and BHC awarded a FFY20 FEMA AFG Award!

The Town of Beacon Falls and Beacon Hose Company No. 1 are pleased to announce the receipt of a FFY20 grant award from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program! This award will fund the replacement of BHC's 22-year-old SCBA air compressor fill system, which was past the end of its useful life and had broken last year. This equipment fills the air tanks that firefighters wear on their backs that help them breath in "Immediately Dangerous to Life Or Health (IDLH) environments such as fires and other hazardous situations. The Town and BHC are honored to receive this competitive award!
